Moving Forward has three primary programs:

The Collective

Moving Forward houses a professional movement collective that showcases original works by Madison Hicks and her collaborators. The Collective has had residencies at 14thStreetY and Orsolina28 and will premiere it’s first full evening of work at Peridance KnJ Theater on June 15 and 16, 2024.

Education

Moving Forward’s educational program creates a safe environment for young artists to feel inspired. Through workshops, intensives, and classes across America dancers are encouraged to push their creativity and physicality.

Young Choreographers

Moving Forward supports the presentation of work by young and emerging choreographers. We have produced two virtual festivals, provided an emerging artist residency at our 2021 summer workshop, and will have our first in-person showcase in September 2023.
