Emerging Artist Festival
In September 2023, Moving Forward co-produced an inaugural event at Mignolo Arts Center celebrating 14 emerging choreographers from across the country. This festival offered young artists the opportunity to share their work, receive mentorship, and grow within a supportive creative community. Selected fellows received travel stipends, professional development, and the chance to present their choreography in a culminating performance.
Winter Fest
Winter Fest highlights the choreographic voices of the next generation of dance artists. Originally launched as a fully virtual event, the festival has since expanded to feature two curated programs: Dance Films and Live Performances. Winter Fest offers young creators the opportunity to share recent works—up to 10 minutes in length—with a wide-reaching digital audience.
